Motivational Speaker Comes to UNOH College of Applied Technologies
The University of Northwestern Ohio is pleased to welcome motivational speaker Jay Blake to campus on June 28, 2011. While working as the head mechanic of a transportation company in May 1997, Blake was involved in an industrial accident that caused him to lose complete sight, smell, and taste. He was 31 years old. In 1999 Blake founded “Follow A Dream”, a non-profit organization with the mission of demonstrating the power of positive thinking, self-determination, and teamwork. After his injury, Blake refused to give up on life and is now the owner/crew chief for an NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car team!
Blake will be speaking to UNOH students about making it through rehabilitation, and learning how to fulfill his dreams of working on a professional race team.
