Alumni Success Story: Brian Scoggin
Here at UNOH, we like to hear stories from our alumni about their experience here — what they did, who they met, what they enjoyed most, etc. If you’ve got your own UNOH Experience story you would like to share, send an email to Dennis Elwer at delwer@unoh.edu.
The following story was written by Brian Scoggin, graduate of the University of Northwestern Ohio.
My
name is Brian Scoggin and I’m a 1987 graduate of UNOH. I was given a full scholarship and played 2 years of basketball while attending UNOH. I completely had no idea what I wanted to do with my life after high school. I met Coach Jim Arnzen and he offered me the scholarship and chance to further my education. I came from a small school (Jackson Center) so I felt very comfortable at UNOH. I met a lot of nice students and teammates along with a supporting faculty during my two years.
I graduated with an Associates Degree in Sales & Marketing. I’ve been in sales since graduation and now I’ve been in sales for the Plastics Machinery Business for 21 years. I can honestly say that I owe many “thanks” to UNOH for my education and helping me be the person I am today.
I also must thank my family. My wife Amber who is very supportive and together we have 7 children from ages 21 to 6. I wouldn’t change anything in my life.
