The University of Northwestern Ohio will hold the final hands-on phase of its automotive and diesel troubleshooting contests on Friday, May 18, 2012. The competition starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 12 noon. Students in the Automotive Division will be competing in the 300 Building on the University campus. Diesel students will be competing in the 400 Building. A luncheon and awards ceremony will immediately follow the competition and will be held in the 600 Building Student Lounge from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.
Students in the University of Northwestern Ohio’s College of Applied Technologies began the competition by taking a written test. Fourteen finalists in the automotive division and fourteen finalists in the diesel division are chosen for the elimination round.
The top three finalists in the diesel and automotive competitions will receive plaques, University tuition scholarships, Snap-On tool kits, and be recognized at the Career Magnet employer’s dinner. Total scholarships awarded come to over $11,000!
