UNOH Business Professionals of America Students head to 2013 State Competition
The University of Northwestern Ohio chapter of the Business Professionals of America (BPA) will compete in the Ohio BPA state competition held March 1st and 2nd at Wright State University – Lake Campus in Celina, Ohio.
Sixteen UNOH students will be judged on various business skills, which include both individual and team events, and all events are graded on a time test basis. Event subjects include management, marketing, human resources, accounting, finance, office management, and many computer competency events.
Students that place in the top three will have the opportunity to compete in the BPA national competition in Orlando, Florida, May 8th through 12th.
The UNOH students competing are Nichole Barker, Ashley Bisel, Olivia Casey, Donald D’Addario, Heather Dulebohn, David Hites, MaryBeth Iliff, Casey Kreher, Nathan Maag, Saige Meyer, Dawn Murphy, Anthony Norton, Devan Reiff, Zachary Seagle, Tabitha Shonk, and Cassio Sirimarco. The University of Northwestern Ohio BPA advisors are Dr. Robyn King and Professor Angela Bogart.
Business Professionals of America is a not-for-profit, co-curricular educational association of student members preparing for careers in business. The Business Professionals of America organization, formed in 1966, seeks to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills. Currently, there are more than 600 BPA chapters nationwide at the College/University level.
